Dates make for a sweet tasting snack. This snack is made from dates and oatmeal, finished with a sprinkling of coconut.

Dates have a low GI as long as there is no added sugar. This snack is great for people dealing with sugar levels. If you are not worried about sugar levels you can rest assured that as far as snacks go this is certainly a very healthy option.
You can always have some of these made and handy to replace those unhealthy chocolates or biscuits.
Ingredients:
300g dates, (ensure that there is no added sugar)
6 tbs of raw organic oats
Fine desiccated raw organic coconut
Method:
Blend the oats to unsure that they have a fine texture.
Blend the dates into a paste. If they are too dry add some filtered water.
Mix the dates and the oats in a bowl until an even consistency is achieved.
Form bite sized balls.
Roll balls in coconut and refrigerate.
