Lifestyle Designed To Help Normalise Blood Sugar Levels
18/9/2015
Before I decided to commence the programme I was slightly overweight, and not particularly enjoying daily food; I am not diabetic, and my blood pressure was very stable, neither too low or too high; my husband and I had a reasonable diet, and have never been particularly addicted to anything, except perhaps we did enjoy our desserts.
My husband however, was a type 2 diabetic, and fairly overweight. I knew a couple who had been doing the Diabetic Health Clinic Lifestyle Program, and had seen the difference in them over the weeks; it had not ocurred to me to take part in the programme myself, until they asked me whether my husband and I would like to be sponsored to do the programme. Upon talking with my husband, and having seen the changes in my friends, we decided to do it.
During the 12 week programme we learned so much that we had not previously known about the dangers of sugar, diabetes, the drugs administered, and the contents that the food manufacturers add to their products. We watched many experts on tv clips, and downloaded all the information for future reference. We began to prepare for the full juicing program by starting with just one juice a day, and straight away noticed that we had begun to lose weight. Because our previous diet was fairly reasonable and we were not addicted to anything, we did not find it difficult at all to proceed to the full juicing program. We downloaded the juice recipes and sampled them all, and very much enjoyed the daily routine of preparing and drinking the juices, there are such a variety of different tastes.
We both have lost weight, and my husband thankfully is now diabetes free! We were amazed at how our shopping bill reduced, when we were, and still are, purchasing only vegetables and fruit.
I would certainly recommend this programme to anyone who is not in the best of health, and are thankful that we were given the opportunity to take part, it will now be a lifetime lifestyle change for us.
I have arthritis in my right hip, and was previously having difficulty climbing the stairs. I am now able to climb the stairs quite easily, as the discomfort of arthritis has lessened and my legs are much more flexible. My husband’s blood glucose levels have dropped and stabilised. We now have no problem avoiding the wide range of processed foods on view in the supermarkets.
If you really desire to change your lifestyle, this is the way to do it,
Thanks to Peter and Joanne for giving so much time to helping us to improve our lives.
