It is official. 12% of deaths are caused by diabetes.
We knew that diabetes is a killer but a new study reveals just how many people it takes! It is not a pretty picture.
- New analysis of medical data shows 12% of deaths are caused by diabetes
- That is a leap up from the 4% of deaths we previously attributed to the condition
- Researchers say we often wrongly attribute diabetes deaths to other illnesses such as cardiovascular disease or kidney disease, which develop later
With diabetes being a worldwide epidemic we will only see more deaths and a likely increase in the diabetic death rate all while the disease is preventable by making the appropriate lifestyle choices.
Have we really come to a point where we cannot do without factory assembled foods? These are the foods that are the root cause of most chronic diseases especially type 2 diabetes. Many people blame thier genes, however even if a person is genetically predisposed to the disease they still need to activate the genes and that is easily achieved eating the inappropriate foods and of course by not exercising.
